Situated in the south-western part of Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable forest is renowned for its bio diversity most notably being the home of endangered mountain Gorillas, that aside its also home to other primate species such as chimpanzees, baboons and various monkey species. It covers an area of about 331 square kilometres.

 Bwindi is a popular destination for gorilla trekking, Visitors can obtain permits to trek through the dense forest in search of habituated mountain gorilla families  in their natural environment. This activity is strictly managed to ensure the conservation of the gorillas and their habitat. 

 Besides gorilla trekking, Bwindi offers a gorilla habituation experience. Unlike gorilla trekking habituation takes longer and more immersive encounter allows visitors to spend more extended periods with a gorilla group, providing a unique opportunity to witness their behaviours and interactions. 

 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a paradise for bird watchers, boasting a diverse array of bird species, including many endemics. Bird watching tours offer the chance to spot various colorful and unique bird species. 

There are guided nature walks and hiking trails within the forest that provide an opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the forest, observe smaller wildlife, and appreciate the unique plant life. The walks cater for all levels of fitness.
